The Problem

You need to connect a Centracom Gold Elite CEB or an MCC 5500 CES. You have run out of resources in your Embassy Switch. A T1 is too costly or not possible. You are dispatching with a control station and have no PTT-ID and no Emergency Notification. You want to put a console in a Mobile Command Center.

The Answer

Through a collaborative effort between Motorola field engineers and The Genesis Group, your customers can display IDs and Emergency calls on their Centracom Gold Elite or MCC 5500 Operator Positions, without connection to the Embassy Switch. It’s called GEnSAC.

It’s pretty simple

GEnSAC comes loaded on a PC with 4, 8, 16, or 32 COM ports (one for each Talk Group). Connect a RIM-II into the GEnSAC PC. Connect one cable for each Talk Group from the GEnSAC PC COM ports to each ACIM card in the CEB (Central Electronics Bank) or to the CES on the MCC 5500. ACIM cards may need to be added to your CEB**. Do a simple setup on the GEnSAC PC to ‘map’ the desired Talk Groups to the correct ACIM. GEnSAC will decode the Control Channel data of the nearest system to the console that comes from the RIM-II. Individual ID and Emergency Call information for each Talk Group that is setup in GEnSAC is sent out to the appropriate ACIM. The Motorola Console then displays the ID that is talking and if the call is normal or emergency.

To get the best, total profile of your existing dispatch hardware and a complete list of any needed components, please contact your local Motorola System Engineer.
** If you already have an existing installation with ASTRO control stations that are connected to an existing ACIM, you will need to reconfigure your installations so the cables from the GEnSAC COM ports can be plugged into the ACIM P6 port for each Talkgroup. Your control stations will use the AUX I/O for keying. We can provide more detailed information upon email request. It is best to discuss your installation with a Motorola Field Engineer before ordering!
